Important realization of the day: Anders on BSG is eerily similar to Kyan from QE.
This of course begs the question of how Starbuck's hair got as bad as it did...

Maybe Starbuck will cut her hair now. Poor Anders. Poor Starbuck. Last week's episode was SO GOOD.

Date: 2006-11-02 03:18 pm (UTC)After I watched the episode, I was like "So, when Starbuck came back from Caprica all traumatized, Lee was like 'I'LL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU BFF', but when she came back from New Caprica even more traumatized, Anders was all 'OMG I'M BREAKING UP WITH YOU'. Hmmm, DON'T YOU FEEL SILLY NOW, STARBUCK?"
I was starting to like Anders, since it seemed like he was actually developing more than two dimensions, but now I don't like him anymore, because breaking up with your obviously traumatized wife only three days after being reunited with her is HARSH, dude. Not cool.

Kara was all like I want to hurt ppl and it might as well be you so go away. And he did what she wanted. So I dunno. I still like him, I was all like STARBUCK YOU ARE SO MEAN and aww, poor Anders!! Interesting.
SPooN tonight! Oh, so I was thinking and just realized - it's kind of interesting that Webber had his birth mom set herself on fire. Since you know, the Demon didn't come along and cause a fire. I dunno. Just hadn't made the connection before. And how did the Demon contact Webber again? I don't recall. Why hasn't Demon contacted Sam or Andy or the others though?

Date: 2006-11-03 10:36 pm (UTC)Knowing SPooN, the demon probably just called Webber's cell phone :-D. I think the demon was using Webber to either lure Andy to the dark side, or kill him. Webber was a few fries short of a happy meal and didn't mind doing a demon's bidding, apparently, but Andy definitely doesn't seem the type: he didn't use his powers for evil, and seemed pretty content with his life and not ambitious or anything. So the demon wouldn't really have anything to persuade him to be ev0l, except maybe his brother. But Webber was definitely crazy enough that I think if Andy had outright refused to go with him, Webber would totally have killed him. However, there's no way the demon could persuade Sam to join the dark side, ever, so I think he didn't even bother to try.
The demon seems to be pretty keen on killing all the "special children" (hee). Webber is the first one we've seen who was both working with the demon, and also didn't have someone ceiling-fried. Coincidence? I think not. But anyways, it seems like the demon can't harm the "special children" directly: all he's done is set their nurseries on fire and summon daevas to attack them and hit them with big trucks. Which are all pretty lethal, but not the same as, say, causing massive internal bleeding (like with Dean) or setting them EN FUEGO!
