1) What is something really embaressing [sic*] that's happened to you during this school year?
hmmm... i can't think of anything immediately, so it couldn't have been too traumatizing! score! actually, now that i think about it, i was eating lunch with people from folk group last semester, and my entire sandwich came apart and fell into my lap. yeah, i think that wins.
2) What is one of your favorite animals? Would you want to be one?
a wolf. i'd have a great PR campaign, access to national parks, and fawning scientists to take care of me because i'm an endangered species. also, wolves are totally cool.
although i would be a dolphin if i could sing that awesome song from the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy...
3) oh no! you're trapped in a fandom! But hey, you get to pick! which one? why? be specific. you know all the stuff that fanfic writers use to categorize fic.
i'm really, really tempted to say the bible fandom, because they have the best summaries EVA on ffn, but i think i'll have to go with harry potter. it's got a lot of variety, even for someone picky and strange like me, and a lot of talented writers, and best yet, the series is still being written, so i don't have to worry overmuch about too much AU-ness and stuff. plus, shoebox love!
actually, i'm lying. clearly i would be in the vast "paradise lost" fandom. mountain/angel OTP!!!!1!3.14159265=∏omgtheirloveissosquished
4) What are your 5 favorite words? why?
1. defenestrate. because clearly, having a word meaning "to throw out a window" is vital. also because i learned it from david eddings, and he is cool, even if his current series is... not good.
2. water-ice
3. floccinaucinihilipilification: the action or habit of estimating something as useless. it's cool because a) that is one of the more random words ever and b) i totally just spelled it from memory.
4.mycophobia: fear of mushrooms. this one is for kirstin. ETA: clearly, this should be "huzzah". you can't get much better than "huzzah".
5. napiform. it means "turnip-shaped". come on, how awesome is that? napiform bezonians.
5) What do you think David Eddings is going to do with that Treasured Ones series?
individualize his characters, write some hysterical gags, throw in an awesome plot-twist and make it not suck. oh wait, that's what i want him to do. hmmm. well, that guy's wife (i forget their names) is obviously some sort of immortal being. if we're lucky, she might be evil and provide some interest; however, i suspect yet another complicated form of divine intervention. we'll end up hanging out with the two other gods, dahlaine and the prissy one. i bet the prissy one will disprove of the plan at some point, which could also add some interest. some major character will snuff it -- i'm betting narasan -- providing righteous angst. some other major character will fall in love, probably rabbit, and all the minor characters will end up paired up. the vikings will probably set something on fire. in the end, i suspect that everyone will have to quest to the lair of theblegh vlagh and destroy the queen, probably with some magical thingamajig, since it's david eddings, and the series will end with the wasteland being transformed into a beautiful garden, possibly called longbowland since he too will probably snuff it in the final battle, and a painfully obvious open-ending so he can write a sequel. until then, the dreamers will continue to be cute and knowing, longbow will continue to be cool, rabbit will continue to be short, the uninteresting mutant bug men will continue to be uninteresting mutant bug men, everyone and their mother will continue to be witty and sarcastic, and the series will continue to be not as good as anything else he's written (except the third book of the tamuli, which sucked).
