brrrrrr

due to the craptacular freezing rainstorm we had yesterday, the campus is now covered in ice. the trees in particular look quite cool, which i suppose will give you something pretty to look at after you wipe out and sprawl, partially paralyzed, on the icy bricks. i'd take some pictures, but it is EFFING FREEZING out. 16º windchill! it is quite ridiculous. even my dorm room is cold, which besides hell wins the title of "location most unlikely to freeze over." maybe i'll take some tomorrow morning before class if there is time.

in other news, i went to see "ruddigore" last night. was quite good, and also v. funny. apparently someone realized that what gilbert and sullivan musicals really need to make them accessible to modern audiences is copious amounts of maniacal laughter. also, more people need to wear pirate hats.

i'll leave you to contemplate this particularly metaphysical tidbit from my geology book:
