shadydaveM. Night Shyamalan is on the Preston and Steve Show. Besides the fact that Preston and Steve are huge fans of Avatar (Preston is a Fire Nation fanboy, FTW), MNS just revealed he wanted to direct the Harry Potter movies.

POR QUE NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO AWESOME AND WE WOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO SIT THROUGH CHRIS COLUMBUS AND STEVE KLOVES, UGH, AND NOW WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH ALL THIS FAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLL
- Zuko's backstory is "Shakespearean" (needs moar dirty puns, IMO)
- Spielburg and Jackson and Lucas "get off" on SFX ::snerk::
- Failbender is a lot darker than Avatar (one of the many reasons for the lose; who wants to see srs bzns Sokka? P&S were fans of the wacky humor, so I bet they're kind of disappointed). His take on HP was gonna be, too (Steve: Would he have smoked a lot?) but at least self-doubting CAPSLOCK!Harry is canon
- They built the largest soundstages on the East Coast in the Philly Navy Yard to do most of the shooting. The sets are still up, and if I didn't hate everything this movie stands for, I'd be all over that like white on Failbender. (Steve thinks they should make it into a restaurant.)
- Preston would be an Earthbender; Steve would be a Waterbender
- The Airbending effects were done by funneling smoke
- MNS pronounces it "Ahng" ::bleargh::
- Pancakes was cast off the internet, via the studio's online submissions
- Haha, Preston and Steve tried to convince MNS to play their show on the radio in his next movie (though probably not Failbender 2: Electric Boogaloo)
- MNS dragged his kids to McDonald's so they could get Failbender Happy Meals
- Waldron Academy has a manhole in the middle of the football field
- The Preston and Steve Show is the first stop on the press tour; Cathy snagged an interview via (possibly) sharing a dry cleaner with his assistants, who are fans of the show and told MNS to do it. Which is one of the biggest reasons why this movie makes me so upset (besides the part where it's horrifically offensive): MNS has such pride for his home, and is so awesome about keeping his movies local, that it totally sucks that 1) we get loaded with all this fail and 2) I can't support him in good conscious. I mean, I even saw The Happening willingly.
