To sleep, perchance to DREEEEAM?!?!?!?!
So, I had another random dream yesterday night. Apparently I was trying to get people to re-enact Frodo's journey to Mordor (shut up), and the first part of my dream involved buying lemons, which are clearly critical to such a mission. I bought them at some that looked kind of like Baskin Robbins, and they charged me for 25 instead of 19. (In an interesting note, apparently I can't do math in my sleep, because I definitely accused them of charging for 7 extra.)
The second part of my dream was waiting for people to show up so we could get on with the epic quest. However, my parents were replaced by horrible Victorian stereotypes, so my dad was kind of like Uncle Vernon, and my mom wanted me to seduce the gardener so I could get married and have a stable future. Let this be a lesson to never read Developmental Psychology textbooks before you go to sleep. My sister, however, was thankfully unchanged in personality. Her arrival was heralded by a tyrannasaurus rex (damn, that's hard to spell) hurtling out of the sky and splatting in our front yard, as apparently she just had to stop by the dinosaur planet in her spaceship, because "dinosaurs are really cool!". We quickly deteriorated into arguing, where I smacked her down with the incedibly witty retort, "Yeah, well at least we don't serve dinosaur meat on the WM buffets!"
Yeah.
So, anyway, during this dream, I experienced "dream deja vu". Like, you feel that you've had the dream before. Not necessarily in a recurring dream kind of sense, but you think that things went differently last time. I'm curious: does this happen to anyone else? Or are my dreams just so weird that they include metatextual commentary as well as copious amounts of crack?
